Grow Through Inclusion

Why Choose In Diverse Company (IDC) as Your ED&I Consultancy Partner?

Education today reflects an unprecedented diversity in classrooms, yet the challenge of translating this diversity into our staffrooms and leadership remains. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) in the education sector faces persistent, systemic hurdles:

Underrepresentation: A lack of equitable representation in teaching staff and senior leadership roles.

Engagement and Belonging: Lower engagement, performance, and sense of belonging among individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Differential Experiences: Disparities in experiences between employees with protected characteristics and their counterparts.

Limited Career Progression: Scarce opportunities for equitable career progression.

Parental Engagement: Navigating sensitive ED&I conversations with parents.

In Diverse Company is your compass to chart a course towards authentic ED&I in education, transcending tokenistic gestures. Our holistic approach safeguards the interests of all stakeholders – students, teachers, parents, and the wider community, paving the way for unique, measurable, and sustainable change.

Case Studies

Department for Education (DfE)

Empowering Women Leaders in Education

In the educational landscape of England, a stark gender disparity existed between men and women in both classroom and leadership roles. While classrooms comprised approximately 70% female teachers and 30% male teachers, leadership roles were overwhelmingly occupied by men, with only 30% female representation. To bridge this gap, the Department for Education (DfE) initiated the “Women Leading in Education Coaching and Mentoring” scheme. We were entrusted with leading and managing this scheme, aiming to empower more women to step into leadership roles through coaching on various themes, including confidence-building and leadership skills development.
