Measuring Workplace Inclusion

Culture Inclusion Maturity Model™

Measuring an organisation’s culture can be highly challenging, particularly as it is defined by the behaviours of individuals within the organisation. There is rarely an established approach that is simple to apply in practice and produces a meaningful result.

In Diverse Company’s Cultural Inclusion Maturity Model™ is the only patented accreditation in the market that measures cultural inclusion. It was developed with a mission to create a dynamic system of inclusion measurement that enables organisations to recognise, track and monitor progress in establishing an inclusive workplace on a global scale.

CIMM

Measuring the cultural maturity of an organisation based on:

Two people having conversation

Attitudes and behaviours of employees

How individuals think influences their actions in the workplace, which in turn affects team dynamics.

Leading figures in the organisation also have a significant impact, as they set examples for others.

Capability of the organisation, defined by policies, processes, and procedures:

These set an agreed standard and level of governance within the organisation that must be adhered to.

Inclusive cultures are maintained when policies help to mitigate bias in decision making processes.

How It Works

1. Behaviour

Measure behaviour within the organisation via a psychometric assessment of Teams and Leaders

2. Capability

Measure organisational capability via an audit of policies, processes, and procedures

3. Benchmarking

Use results of 1 and 2 to form a Cultural Inclusion Maturity benchmark for the organisation

Benefits For Your Organisation

The CIMM is the only tool that measures cultural inclusion by assessing behaviours and the organisational system. Many organisations publish data on diversity and pay gaps, but these statistics are not enough to understand attitudes, behaviours, and culture. Our accredited measure of inclusion tells employees, investors, and future recruits more about the strength of the policies and processes, behaviours of teams and leaders, that drive cultural inclusion.

Our unique approach means you can view inclusion not only at an organisational level, but also at an individual team level across the business. You can see how your culture varies across different regions, departments, or other areas of your organisation. You will receive insights on teams that have stronger and weaker levels of inclusion, understand how their profiles differ, and be able to target interventions at a team level to drive inclusion

All teams will be provided with a report and benchmark against the organisation s overall inclusion score. This provides teams with insight on the way they are currently operating and changes that could be made. We all have a collective responsibility to create an inclusive culture. By encouraging team collaboration, the whole organisation works together to achieve this.

Your leadership team will be provided with reports that describe inclusion at the level of teams, leaders, and policies and processes. Based on our findings, we provide a clear roadmap of recommendations to improve inclusion across the business. This provides focus and a set of appropriate actions to foster a more inclusive culture within your organisation. All recommended actions are tailored specifically for you and designed to increase commercial success through your D&I agenda.

Every team completes the CIMM to determine their own team s inclusion measure. This means employees are more likely to trust the outcome of the accreditation every voice is heard.
