Driving Business Performance Through Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) are among the most powerful yet often overlooked strategies for driving meaningful change within organisations. Proven to accelerate company performance and boost employee satisfaction, EDI goes beyond just ethical principles; it is a key influencer that impacts entire markets and supply chains.

Despite the well-recognised benefits of inclusion—ranging from financial growth to enhanced organisational culture—many companies struggle to translate these intentions into impactful, sustainable actions.

About the Workforce Integration Network (WIN)

Founded in 2018 the Mayor’s Workforce Integration Network (WIN) is committed to tackling labour market inequality in London. By working closely with employers and civil society, WIN addresses the structural barriers that prevent underrepresented groups from accessing quality employment across key sectors.

Inclusive Employer Toolkits

One of WIN’s key initiatives is the development of industry-specific Inclusive Employer Toolkits. These toolkits are designed to provide practical actions, resources, and guidance to organisations of all sizes, helping them build more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces.

The toolkits are tailored to address the unique challenges faced by different industries, focusing on five core themes: Commitment and Collaboration, Engagement and Recruitment, Retention and Progression, Building an Inclusive Culture and Supplier Diversity.

By implementing these strategies, companies can move beyond intent and take actionable steps toward creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.

Transforming Intent into Action

What’s in Store for You?

While the Inclusive Employer Toolkits offer a strong foundation, the Greater London Authority (GLA) understands that many organisations need additional support to translate these recommendations into tangible plans, strategies, and interventions. To help you effectively implement these toolkits and foster a more diverse and inclusive workplace, we have partnered with In Diverse Company, a leading People and Culture Consultancy.

This collaboration has led to the creation of an Implementation Support Programme tailored specifically for the Creative, Health, Social Care, Technology and Green Economy sectors. This programme is designed to offer immersive learning experiences that not only build awareness of the toolkits but also empower you to apply these strategies in a way that suits your unique organisational context.

This programme includes a series of learning sessions and events, as well as access to a virtual knowledge hub.
