Privacy Statement 

In Diverse Company respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you. We keep this Privacy Policy under regular review. 

Generally, the information requested by In Diverse Company will be used to provide a website feature or service to you, such as commenting, support, or providing future content better tailored to your interests. A description of In Diverse Company’s intended use of that information, how that information is collected, security measures In Diverse Company takes to protect that information, and how to grant or revoke consent for collection and use of that information will be fully described in the ‘Privacy Notice’ section of this Privacy Policy. 

This Privacy Policy describes our privacy practices in relation to the use of In Diverse Company’s websites that link to this Privacy Policy (referred to as the “Sites”), in particular: www.indiversecompany.com. 

 

Privacy Notice 

In Diverse Company uses cookies to provide a customised user experience on the Sites. A cookie is a small file that a website transfers to your computer to allow your browser to remember information about your last session on that website. Your computer only shares information in the cookie with the specific website that provided it, and no other website can request that information. In Diverse Company also uses third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics) to gather this information for analysis. 

In Diverse Company collects and temporarily stores certain information about your navigation through the Sites to help us to better align our content and Sites design with your needs, as well as to ensure the Sites are performing optimally. We use legitimate interest as a legal basis for this processing. Our legitimate interest is operating and improving the Sites.

  3. The date and time you accessed the Sites 
  4. The operating system of your computer 
  5. The browser you’re using to access the Sites 
  6. The Universal Resource Locators (URLs) of the pages you visit on the Sites 
  7. Your username, if you’ve logged into the Sites 
  8. The URL of site you came from, if you clicked a link there that brought you to the Sites 
  9. Your language preferences 
  10. Where applicable, we store anonymised aggregated data associated with your Google account: 
    • – Gender 
    • – Age 
    • – Interests profile (created by Google based on your browsing history) 

 

In Diverse Company uses this information to operate and improve the Sites. 

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.  

We may share this information internally with In Diverse Company employees or third-party contractors as needed – this is generally for website support and maintenance with approved suppliersThis information is only used to improve the Sites and enhance our visitors’ experience. Raw data logs are only retained temporarily for site management purposes. 

If you fill out a “Contact Details” web form and actively request to receive communications from In Diverse Companywe will use the information provided to contact you regarding your interest in our events, products, and services. We use legitimate interest as a legal basis for this processing. Our legitimate interest is direct marketing to those who show active interest in our events, products, and services. However, when sending you specific materials you have requested from us (e.g., a D&I report or newsletter that you subscribed to) or arranging for us to reach out to you contact you directly (e.g., personal email or phone call), we rely on your consent for this communication. 

 You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number provided on www.indiversecompany.com: 

  1. Ask for a list of personal information we have about you, if any. 
  2. Request a change, correction, or deletion of your personal information. 
  3. Request that we avoid collecting anything in the future (opt-out). 

If you do not wish to have cookies stored on your machine, you have the option to turn cookies off in your browser. However, keep in mind that turning off cookies may impact how the Sites function. Disabling browser cookies will also impact how other websites you visit store browser cookies as well. Unless otherwise required by law, data shall be stored for a maximum of six years after collection, except that cookie data about a specific visitor will be deleted after one year of non-interaction with the Sites. 

 

Links To Other Websites 

The Sites and content may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our Sites, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. 

Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. 

You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question. 

 

Controlling Your Personal Information 

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways: 

Whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the Sites, you will need to check a box giving your consent for us to store and process your data. 

If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by emailing us at marketing@indiversecompany.com. 

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your explicit permission or are required by law to do so. 

We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about In Diverse Company events and new products or services. 

Under The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 you may request details of personal information which we hold about you or request that we update the details that we hold about you. 

In order to action such a request, please email: marketing@indiversecompany.com. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, or if you wish for us to delete that information please email us as soon as possible, at the above email address. We will promptly action any requests to our best ability. 

 

Security 

In Diverse Company takes the security of your personal information very seriously. We take many precautions to ensure that the information we collect is secure and inaccessible by anyone outside of our organisation. These precautions include advanced access controls to limit access to that information to only internal personnel who require access to that information. We also use numerous security technologies to protect all data stored on our servers and related systems. Our security measures are regularly upgraded and tested to ensure they are effective. 

We take the following specific steps to protect your information: 

  1. Use internal access controls so only limited personnel have access to your information. 
  2. Anyone with access to user information is trained on all relevant security and compliance policies. 
  3. Servers that store visitor information are regularly backed up to protect against loss. 
  4. All information is secured through modern security technologies like secure socket layer (SSL), encryption, firewalls, and secure passwords. 

All access safeguards described above are in place to prevent unauthorised access by outsiders to information stored on or transmitted by our systems.
